Term2.png ROUND TABLE
45 minute session involving up to 9 participants and a moderator seated around a table. The session is usually composed of a 15 minute presentation made by the round table moderator, followed by a 30 minute discussion amongst the participants.

The key aspects of a round table discussion are its informality and the absence of a hierarchy between participants. It is therefore an ideal event for people with varied views on a subject to discuss their ideas.

Usually, there are no audio visual aids at a round table discussion and moderators use hand outs to illustrate their view points. A good hand out will usually include the moderator’s contact information and a list of useful links or resources that the participants can use to learn more about the subject.[1]
